Take A Vet Fishing on Lake Minnetonka

The Shoreline Hotel

All participants must have a current Minnesota fishing license. You are required to provide your own fishing license.

Guides: Boats can launch at any public launch location on Lake Minnetonka. Some boat launches in the area may have a fee depending on where you choose to launch. Guides can launch anywhere on the lake that they wish but we ask that you transport your Veteran(s) with you. Guides are responsible for providing their own bait.

Check-in: 7am for all Veterans and Guides. You must check-in with a TAVF team member.

Fishing Time: 8am-12pm

Socialize at The Shoreline Hotel: 12:15pm is the time for family members to join (only open to those who registered through the website).

Color Guard, National Anthem and Prayer: 12:45pm

Lunch: 1pm

Honor Ceremony: 1:00pm

Conclusion: 2:00pm

A hotel stay is available for all Veterans who are traveling over 60 miles to attend this event. This hotel stay will be for Friday night (the night before the event only). Please keep in mind that you will need to check-out from the hotel prior to fishing on Saturday morning. Our event does not conclude until 3pm, by this time, the hotel would need your items completely out of the rooms.

All hotel rooms must be requested no later than Sunday, August 16^th. If you do not request a room by this date, Take A Vet Fishing will not be able to cover the cost of your room.
